In two parts, the text provides guidance on various aspects of communication in business with practical assignments in a variety of settings covering single and integrated aspects of the guidance section. Part 1 deals with the principles of communications in business, written communications, oral communication, communications and technology, and business English. Tasks and exercises included. Part 2 describes a number of settings covering manufacturing and service industries, small and large organisations, and private and public concerns. The reader is given a particular role in these settings and asked to complete a number of tasks and assignments. It is aimed at NVQ levels 2 and 3, and suitable for a wide range of business and commercial vocational courses (RSA II, BTEC National, City % Guilds II and III, LCCI Intermediate, NEBSS). It is also useful for CPVE, TVEI and YTS schemes.
