The 2008 edition was well received, so much so that we had to order a reprint and the 2009 edition is the result of much hard work making improvements and additions. Many early Queen Elizabeth sets are now illustrated in colour and more early issues have been converted to colour from black and white.Prices reflect the current market as a whole which sees Great Britain again very strong, Australia including the States has been revised and Canada is also active with many price increases in the provinces including Newfoundland, Dominion issues to 1950 and, notably, to the official stamps of King George VI.In New Zealand, the Chalon heads have seen extensive revision and indeed the whole country has been carefully reviewed with significant price increases through the 1960s. The postal fiscals are nearly all up in price. Africa has received a lot of collecting interest. South Africa sees numerous increases in Provinces, especially for unused with every stamp of Griqaland West up, mint and used, and extensive revision to South Africa itself up to about 1950.Other African countries including Bechuanaland, Gambia, Gold Coast, Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika, Nigeria, Nyasaland, Rhodesia and Zanzibar have all been extensively reviewed.The British West Indies have also received similar attention and India sees extensive and significant increases through to 1950. Indian Convention States and Indian Feudatory States have also been revised with thousands of price increases.Errors continue to be popular with some significant increases to missing colours in particular, while the less dramatic watermark varieties also continue to rise. The 'used abroad' sections have also received considerable attention and another group notable for almost wholesale price increases are the provisional occupation stamps of World War I especially New Guinea, Batum, Bushire, Iraq and long Island. All in all, therefore, the 2009 edition reflects a healthy market for British Commonwealth stamps at all levels.
