I purchased this book a week ago, and have found it an extremely enjoyable read. It is well written, and well researched. The information is accurate, and the photographs are from personal collections which you won't find anywhere else.

I am into my military history and I wanted to find a book that gave me an insight into the Royal Marines. This book delivers more than that. I am very pleased with this. The book is written in an informative style and provides a very detailed account of the Marines.

Excellent overview of the British Commando

Well written & informative book detailing the history of the
British Commando. Nice photo reference of different uniforms and
equipment from WW2 to modern day. Unfortunately no color plates, but
B&W photos are crisp and varied enough to make up for this.
