About the Author
George Low started working on DC Thomson's Commando comic books in 1963, two years after their launch. He was the longest-serving Editor of Commando from 1988 to 2007.

This "HUGE" book is packed full of facts, artwork, stories, and information regarding all things Commando from the last 50 years.
All in all a fantastic book and a must buy for all Commando readers young and old.

I had seen this before and thought it would be incredibly boring and full of text. How wrong I was! This huge book (about A3 paper size) features 6 classic commando stories with an extra long introduction, information pages about artists, writers and editors(typically 6 pages long and backed up with lots of commando artwork) and the top 50 cover artworks. My favorite story was cellar rats which I have read several times!

If you are a certain age and were brought up on Commando comics, this is for you, great tales of deering do, with all the behind the scenes information.Excellent book

this was bought for 10 year old grandson,,, he has not long started reading his dads, original commando comics,,, so was absolutely over the moon with this book
