His sea-going experience includes general cargo, reefer, bulk cargo, passenger and liner trades, underwater operations, and roll-on/roll-off ferries. He is a well-known marine author and has written Seamanship Techniques Volumes 1 and 2 (combined) and he has revised Cargo Work in the Kemp & Young series.

It is a very technical book indeed. If you are in the Maritime Business you must read it. It is a good reference to have on board. The fact that is very technical means that you need to have an officer background and it is a very good book to study for MCA OOW or Master Oral exams.The book is intended mainly for Merchant business but I am using as a reference in the Yachting industry. You have a very useful questions-answers part at the end of the book.
