About the Artist

Based in Glasgow, Scotland The Nimmo Brothers are guitarists/vocalists Stevie and Alan Nimmo, along with Lindsay Coulson on bass and Dave Raeburn (ex Hoax) on drums. They have just released their new CD "Coming Your Way", having over the last 4 years, established themselves as a major force to be reckoned with throughout the British and European circuit. With a typically Glaswegian attitude towards their music, and with the incredible energy and excitement they inject into every performance, The Nimmos have in a short period of time achieved more to boast about than most. They have been chosen to support many leading names and played at major festivals including Colne, Burnley, Maryport, Monaghan, Dublin, Castlebar, Enniscorthy, Edinburgh, Leith, Glasgow and Dundee, as well as Kwadendamme and Bospop in Holland. Live sessions for the BBC and Dutch television have also been recorded. The Nimmo Brothers continue to grow in stature touring all over the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. Never failing to impress audience after audience with their musically stunning and electrifying stage show. Demand for The Nimmo Brothers is stronger than ever and without doubt they are one of the best young bands on the circuit today.

Everyone should make this CD an addition to their music collection. Whether you're a hardened Blues fan or not, you simply can't help toe-tapping to tracks such as "Flat Broke" and "She Fills My Cup", not to mention the outstanding fast shuffle "I'll Be Back Someday" that you just can't help but move to! Then there's the fabulously written slow numbers like "If I Could See Through You Eyes" that will have you swaying soulfully, and "You're The Reason" (one of my personal favourites) which could bring a tear to a glass eye. I've seen these guys gig a few times and every time they just get better and better. Their stage presence is overwhelming and their musical ability leaves me openmouthed. This CD is just typical Alan and Stevie - Remarkable, feel-good music that you'll never have off your CD player! BUY IT ... or you're missing out - BIG time!

I had the pleasure recently, of seeing this classy act live, outdoors in pouring rain. Their brand of rock driven blues clean made me forget how wet the day was. They alternate between their stuff and older material; sharing as they do, the vocals and guitar riffs and solo's. I purchased the album immediately afterward from one of their support staff. So as not to overuse superlatives, in a word BRILLIANT. Stand out track for me is "through your eyes" which is great performed live, though sadly fades out on the album. In fact I would go so far as to say the album does not realy do full justice to their live show. But if you wish to know just how good these guys are, buy this album and hope you get an opportunity to see them in the flesh, or that they release a live album too.

Without doubt the best RnB band in the business. Truly awesome live performances are matched by this stunning Album. Fantastic mix of soul stirring Blues and foot tapping Rock and Roll. So good I have bought two copies so I can keep one in the car. I defy anyone not to count this in amongst their favourite albums.

Incredible 13 Feb 2003

These guys kick it HARD... they don't mess around... hard working and extremely gifted... they're from Scotland... sing and play some of the best blues I've EVER heard. This is their acoustic CD and showcases their incredible vocals... very, very full, powerful voices with some very mature chops. I heard them live recently and was totally blown away. If you can get ahold of their first album "Moving On," you will have one of the best blues albums in your collection, bar none... it is them with a full band, totally electric, and it is KILLER. Their stuff is also distributed by bluearmadillo dot com

Mindblowing 29 May 2006

They blow you away, if you like blues with guts and you haven't seen them live yet you really should do something about it and go to one of their gigs. Stevie with his custome made guitar sound and voice is fantastic and Alan's the showman of the band. The nice thing about them is they're so down to earth.

'Coming your way' is great. But'Moving on' is the best CD, I saw them 5 years ago and had the chance to buy the cd then. This weekend they were in Belgium again and they were as good as ever!!!
