1.0 out of 5 stars Penny!! , 8 Aug 2008
By G. Andrew - See all my reviews

An ok read, kept expecting it to get going and reveal a plot of some kind. But the real disappointment was the ending.... well... I thought my edition was missing a few pages! When I realised that was it, the book was thrown across the room! Great 'Penny' fan so am disappointed!

1.0 out of 5 stars proof of the star system at work, 17 Aug 2008
By Penelope Simpson "penny simpson" (dorset, england) - See all my reviews

Terrible. The sort of stuff you expect from Jordan. And I like Penny Smith. Maybe she feels she is getting to the end of her presenting career and needed to make some dosh. Must have called in a lot of favours from friends to generate all the publicity that made fools like me buy it. Fraud.

Come On penny, you had an interesting subject to write about but you blew it completely. Poor Anthea Turner!

Will never buy anymore of your stuff and shame on people like Richard and Judy who reviewed it. Unreadable trash.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, just blinkin' AWFUL!!!!!, 10 Sep 2008
Seriously, Penny, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!

"Bright lights, cat fights"

"Breakfast just got bitchier"

2 good sub-titles that made me buy it, such a shame that they are totally unrelated to this book!

Barely a plot, horrendous puns (almost like writing the book was just an excuse to cobble together all the one's she'd ever heard) and what on earth was that ending all about?

The Daily Record said:

Don't! Really, just...DON'T

Oh Penny. I love your humour on GMTV and had high hopes for this book but it was sooooo poor. I'm afraid I would not even recommend this as a beach read. Read more

This is appalling - didn't she have an editor? The humour was infantile, a non-existent plot, and extremely poor characterisation. Read more
