Denise leigh is sinonymous with the operatic repertoire, as heard on "operatunity the Winners" and her 1st solo venture, "Pie Jesu".
This, however, is a completely new direction in Ms Leigh's work. Music, as she's said, that she likes to sing when she's coming home from a concert or listening to with a glass of wine.
Although not her usual sound, this disc provides a fascinating and wonderful incite into a whole new side of her voice. The tracks are well chosen and performed.
I do feel a special mention should go to the fabulous guitarist in "my funny valentine". The solo in the instrumental is stunning.
It now beggers the question of what's next?
