Book Description

Rock Bay: Book One

Tallis Carrington ruled Rock Bay with his gang of jocks and an iron fist—until a scandal destroyed his family's name. Ten years later Tallis is dead broke, newly homeless, and on the walk of shame to end all walks of shame. He needs money and needs it fast, and Rock Bay is the only home he knows. But the people of Rock Bay haven’t forgotten him—or the spoiled brat he used to be.

The only person in town willing to overlook his past is Lex, the new coffee shop owner, who offers Tally a job even though he appears to despise Tally based on his reputation alone. When Tally discovers his gorgeous boss is the kid he tortured back in high school, Lex's hot and cold routine finally makes sense. Now Tally has to pull out all the stops to prove he was never really the jerk he seemed to be. After all, if he can win Lex’s heart, the rest of the town should be a piece of coffee cake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful trilogy of books. 23 Oct. 2014
By Chris A
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I first bought this as an audiobook from Audible as I needed something to listen to on the flight while going on holiday. It was so good, I had to buy the next two books as well (also as audiobooks). However, when I got home, I also bought all three e-books to put on my Kindle.

I loved the story very much. The two men, who were enemies back in school, came together and quickly fell in love, even though they were beset with problems on the way.

Rock Bay sounds an ideal place to live, especially for gay, bi and straight guys (or should I say the ones who think they're straight!). Anyway, they come from all walks of life with parents who are either loving and accepting, indifferent or, as in the case of the third book, a father who is downright homophobic and abusive.

I love all three books (Coming Home, Letting Go and Finding Shelter) and they are all worth a read over and over again.

Thank you MJ for some brilliant writing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read, good story line! 2 Jan. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a nice easy read. The product description sets the scene so I had a good idea what the book was about. The storyline was good, the characters believable and by the time I was half was through the book I had downloaded the next two books in the series. This is a story about becoming a better person and learning what is important in life. It's not going to leave you in tears or mess with your head but it will pull you into the story and you will find it a little emotional in places.
recommended!
