contained are some winning recipes, most of which are easy to make, and a few of which i have tried myself. unfortunately, if the book were to contain all the recipes in the show (there are many series, and that doesn't include the celebrity version of the show), then the book would be many hundreds of pages in length (and even then it would be doubling up many recipes since it seems that at least one contestant in each competition serves up asparagus wrapped in parma ham).
i love the little asides, which i imagine in the voice of david lamb, that cantankerous voice-over, whose constituent contribution adds value more than the sum of its parts (does that even make sense? i think it's called "gestaldt").
