The best album of 2002, 23 Mar 2003
The best accident I ever had was discovering this band, I first heard about them whilst browsing the internet for information about another gothic metal band, Inkubus Sukkubus (Who you really should check out, by the way). I usually prefer harder more rockier music, but this band has opened my eyes to more melodic riffs and especially the female vocal. This band has two singers, The beautiful Cristina Scabbia who has possibly one of the best voices I have ever heard, and the more gruff voice of Andrea Ferro. The two voices contrast each other and are a delight to hear together. All the instruments in this band are played together to perfection, and it all just goes together so well, its quite amazing to hear. Every song on this album is good, but the picks would be "Swamped", Heaven's a lie", "Daylight Dancer", "The Ghost woman and the hunter", "Unspoken", "Entwined" and the excellent, and my favourate Lacuna song, "Comalies". This band truelly is a diamond in the ruff of todays music, pick it up no matter what you like, this is definately the sort of music that could appeal to rock and Britney fans alike. Buy it now, you wont regret it!
