Jon has just pulled off the biggest heist of his life and is racing to get rid of the merchandise before he leaves for Florida to retire. If he succeeds he can finally rekindle his relationship with his ex-wife and become the father he's always wanted to be.
Before he can do that, he must unload the mysterious briefcase to the same murderous gangster he stole it from, without getting killed. The quick-witted Jon comes up with the ultimate deal to safely unload the merchandise. But he becomes a marked man, under fire, with nowhere to hide. Now he's in a race against the clock to stay alive and make all the money he'd ever need for the rest of his life all in one afternoon.

Not so good that I'd rate it as excellent, but it works because of a good solid performance from the greatly under-rated Val Kilmer. I was gripped from start to finish. I'll not say anything about the story - you can read the synopsis for that - but even though he's not really a good guy in the story, his character comes across as positively, and we are definitely on his side.
Kilmer I find is always convincing in whatever role he plays. Some actors do very well just being themselves, but Kilmer, while recognisable, is someone different in every role, but never disappoints, and manages to add something to the film.

I bought this film, being a Val Kilmer fan. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It is a film I will be able to watch over again. The story is entertaining, and unusually for Val recently, it doesn't end in his grizzly demise! There are twists a plenty to get to that conclusion though although it is all set in one day! Needless to say, the man has lost none of his acting ability - he is totally believable as the character. A method actor at his best, although his love of his children needs no acting - that is real. I also find fun watching for Val's trade marks in all his films. He spins things (keys,coins, guns, swords, depending on the film) and also rubs two fingers together when quiet. Both are evident in this film!

I am sorry, I like the man, but this film is the longest 87 minutes I have spent, waiting for something to happen. It didn't! The entire film takes place in a park, he is waiting, he uses the phone a lot, he chats to a couple of people, there are some short flashbacks to explain why, then it ends. It feels like a stage play that was inexplicably made into a film? don't bother, I wish that I had not.
