Light and comfortable

I bought these pants for my work as landscape designer/gardener where ticks and mosquitoes are practically in a job description. I can't tell yet about how strong and long-lasting anti-bug treatment for this pants is, but the garment itself is very light and comfortable - ideal for summer work outside. I have a feeling that sizing of Columbia clothing is a bit on smaller side (I've bought size 10 of those while I am currently wearing size 8 and even 6 from other companies), but if you ever had Columbia's pants, you would know your size.
As much as I could judge from Columbia's description of Bug Shield clothes, they use the same treatment as in Insect Shield, and the latter really works, at least against mosquitoes (hopefully, against ticks as well, but it's hard to tell if you doesn't get any of them because you're just lucky or because this treatment worked).
I will update this review after I get an idea about how well the bug protection of this pants works.
