This was my daughter's favourite book from the age of eighteen months until she was about two and a half. The pictures of every day life are endlessly fascinating to children. As with most Shirley Hughes writing, the text is enjoyable for an adult to read over and over (and over) again.

A lovely short book of rhyme which is part of Hughes' Nursery Collection. This is by far the best of the collection but the compilation is still worth the purchase.
Read this to your littl'un as soon as is: they just like to hear the music of your familiar voice and before you know it they'll start filling in the gaps!
It's good on the adult ear and remember that you'll have to read most things at least 647 times so choose this!
Great book: great illustrations, and great rhyme.

You can't go wrong if you buy any Shirley Hughes book. This one is particularly suitable for very young children. The pictures fit perfectly with the words and encourage lots of talking. You wil enjoy them as much as your child. Thanks to the seller, well packaged and sent promptly.

My daughter (18 months) absolutely loves this book.
Brilliant rhymes and really nice pictures come together to form an absolute gem.
