Over GBP210 million were spent on anti-aging cream in Britain last year, with the British facial skincare market being worth just over GBP545 million, accounting for just 15% of the market. Mintel expects this market to increase by 24% in the next five years, to be worth a total of GBP0.7 billion. Sales of a new anti-aging cream by No7, which costs GBP16.75, have soared by almost 2,000% since being praised by BBC's Horizon programme in March of this year, with Boots having to produce 24,000 bottles a day to meet demand.
