Instant-on
HP's instant-on technology is designed to reduce the time it takes to print your first page. Most manufacturers use a metal fusing cylinder which takes up to 60 seconds to warm up before printing begins. HP utilises an innovative ceramic heating element, drastically reducing warm-up time. Because warm-up time is reduced the printer uses less energy, is quieter and there is less wear on the printer engine.

Print Quality
Images are printed using dots of toner on the page, similar to the dots on a TV screen. Whilst a higher number of dots per inch (DPI) is usually associated with improved print quality, it is not the only factor to consider. HP's patented Resolution Enhancement technology (REt) improves print quality by smoothing the edges on curves and diagonal lines. HP ImageREt 2400 technology combines up to 4 colours in a single dot; providing smoother, more defined images.
