Illustrated with page upon page of beautiful photographs, this glorious book gives inspirational advice on the use of colour in garden design by showing the extraordinary range of hues available in garden plants and how they can be combined to sumptuous effect. A must for any serious collector of gardening texts.

I loved this book when I was studying garden design at Pershore college, and I'm delighted to have discovered it again. I love the approach to colour, and the fact that the beautiful photographs are from the authors' own colour themed borders, which are like a kaleidoscopic laboratory of planting ideas.

It's excellent for demonstrating harmonious colour combinations, and also for successional planting - the photos show you the same colour themed borders throughout the year, and the plant lists are split up into spring, summer and autumn interest.
