Really liked this product when I bought it, the colours are very pretty and even when not much sun to charge during the day, the light still came on for a couple of hours, a few of our friends commented on it, however the bulb is quite heavy and the cable is very thin and ours snapped off when only a moderate wind was blowing.Top marks to the provider Galaxy though, when i contacted them they offered to replace it or refund me without any problem. Nice little light but not good if in a windy position.

I saw this item advertised in a weekly magazine supplement and decided to see if it was cheaper to buy via amazon. It was, a third of the magazine price! I ordered 3, one for me and two as gifts. I was initially delighted with mine, it did everything it promised and was very a pretty addition to my patio. However withing three days the ball became detached from the filaments which powered it and could not be re-attached. There is an inherent design fault in that the metal cage containing the ball is wide enough for the ball to get out and the filaments then wrap around the cage. I believe this is what caused it to break. Also the instruction state that it should not be left out in rain storms or winds. In the UK you would need to only put it out when you were sure of good weather for at least 6 hours to charge the solar panel and then hope for calm and clear weather after dark to enjoy it. How feasible is this for regular use in the UK??? Having said that, I cannot fault the supplier as I was immediately given a full refund.

At this time of year, when UV light is somewhat scarce, it doesn't charge up too well for the light to last long after dark - but on a sunny day, the "light show" after dark is very pretty - and in Spring I am sure it will last much longer.
