I've been colouring my hair for 20 years with permanent dyes. Yup, it's hard to believe it's been that long since I've seen my "natural" hair colour!
The last time I dyed it, my hair came out MUCH darker then I expected (and darker then the test results or package showed). I left it for a few weeks, hoping it would "grow" on me, but three weeks later, I still didn't like it, it still didn't suit me, so I made the decision to get rid of it. After much research and review readings I ordered Colour B4 and decided to give it a go.
Before using, I washed my hair very well (3 lather/rinses) with a sulfate and silicone free shampoo. I applied NOTHING else - no conditioner, no product, and let the hair dry very well. This takes the silicones off the hair shaft so the product could get directly to the hair.
Then I followed the directions exactly - not skimping at all on the rinsing time.
I combed it through my hair, covered with cling film, used the hair blower, covered with a warm towel, and sat beside the radiator for 60 minutes. After the first step, my hair felt pretty nice (soft), but after rinsing out the buffer it was pretty dry, and needed some good conditioning.
The results? Fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased. My colour is just as I remembered it to be, not really altered much at all. I honestly didn't expect much, since I've been colouring for so long, but I am really thrilled with the brilliant results. I highly recommend this - but don't skimp on the rinsing, and be sure to properly cleanse your hair and dry it BEFORE using the product - it can't be faulted for not working properly if the hair isn't prepared properly.
