Drawing the traditional circular designs known as mandalas is a meditative practice, a healing exercise in times of crisis, and a pleasurable act of creativity. As a symbol of the Self, the mandala provides a connection to our innermost being. The forty-eight drawings presented here for coloring include designs inspired by forms of nature, Native American and Tibetan sand paintings, Hindu yantras, Turkish mosaics, the illuminations of Hildegarde of Bingen, and the art of M.C. Escher. These mandalas are organized according to the Great Round of Mandala, a scheme of twelve archetypal stages that represents a complete cycle of personal growth. i totally recommend it!! got it for a relative who is going through a hard time and now i want it for myself too!! excellent way to start coloring mandalas. it has a very usefull and complete, yet simple, introductory first part about the concept of mandalas and then a second part of mandala drawings, very varied and insipiring, from very simple to really detailed ones, each of them with a short commentary. also the presentation as a notepad is useful for coloring and tearing the pages if you wish to

Fantastic way to relax. Lovely book. Highly recommend it. Some of these my kids have done, as some of the mandalas are big and simple. Some are finer and more complex, and nicer for you!

I've got pretty much what I was expected to get. Mandala's templates are nice, lovely size, either wise try something else if you are a bit experienced in Mandala's studies.
I am just beginner so I've found really important things there such as a facts about colors, schemes and so on. You can find a basic info about Chakra's as well.

The book is beautiful and has encouraged me to paint a mandala as a regular spiritual practise.The way the book is written makes it easy to follow the natural progression of life and the seasons as they unfold.
