...not the main leads, nor were they very Alpha or interesting characters. Grant and Roger seemed to be the main characters in focus, as well as Duff, the leader of the operation. However, it does have potential...

This is a value-for-money read, given its length and price. It isn't a bad tale, but it is in need of a good edit, as the end 3/4 chapters are full of homophone errors; it felt as if the editor/proofer had given up the ghost, which for me, detracted from the tale a bit.

This tale introduces us to a ranch in the middle of nowhere, USA, where the 'cowboys' are actually Special Ops guys, who are not sanctioned by any US government agency, but who go whenever and wherever needed, in order to save the world. Yup, the world; this book took place mainly in Lincolnshire, UK.

The is a romance in the tale, but contrary to the blurb, Tucker and Billy weren't the main characters; they were more side characters who were best friends about to turn into lovers. Grant and Roger came across as the most interesting characters, whose romance doesn't really get off the ground, which is not a complaint, as there are reasons for this, including Grant's ex, Craig, a fellow ops soldier who surfaces...and may have gone to the dark side.

There is a glimpse of book 2 at the very end of this one, in which Grant takes off to do what he has to do about his ex, and I think that that will be worth reading. This could have been a 5* tale, but author didn't do that well in setting her 'world', as it seemed a bit random and I felt that I'd been thrown into the mix without any instructions.

Still, it is a good read, if you can suspend disbelief and accept that all of these macho guys are either gay or bi, and that all are ex military who were never out, and who were all only recruited for their skills, but who happened to end up herded on the most gay/bi ranch ever.

It was a Free Download. I hate giving low ratings. This is MY opinion and I always, always finish a book. Someone has taken the time and trouble to pen a story and I respect the effort. Sometimes though, an editor and a couple of BETA readers help.
Too many characters all introduced at once. I had problems remembering who was who and who was with who and who wanted to be with who and who did what to who....exhausting! Initially I'd back-track and re-read, but that just took forever as by that stage I was so bored, I just couldn't take the plot-line anymore and skipped back to where I'd left off to go back.(Did you understand that?).
So easy to put down, just so easy...and then difficult to pick up again.
Characters are fine, they're just all so similar. The sex was a little like "painting-by-numbers", it was ok. The plot...what plot?
I won't be purchasing anymore in the series as this novel was dull. I was bored. Sorry author :(

The product description and reviews all gave a good insight into the storyline of Colorado Wild, yet this author always surprises me! As with all her books I feel the passion through her writing and am always reminding myself I'm actually reading Fiction.

The storyline had me hooked from the first page. The characters played with my emotions and had me in the edge of my seat throughout, I was only relieved I had the next book in this series on my kindle.

Sara York is most certainly one of favourite authors! I can not recommend this or any of her books highly enough!

It's a shame that the Texas series is over!
I enjoyed every single book, but I'm glad to say that the Colorado Heart series so far is as good!
I'm really looking forward to reading the Colorado Fire.
Keep up the good work Sara x
