Before moving to the States we were given this book as a gift and it has been priceless in producing historical and general knowledge on areas such as Fort Collins, Boulder and Denver as well as things such as hotels, activities with phone numbers, ski resorts etc. The only thing I would say is do not rely on the maps as they are less than basic and we have found ourselves lost and confused on more than one occasion. Overall, I would recommend this book as our copy is now well thumbed through but also invest in a good map!

OK, the author is more into mountain biking and skiing rather than hiking. Not as good as moon press's Arizona book and northern California book

Like all Moon Publishing books this one offers a detailed account of Colorado. With everything from Geology to the best watering hole in the town you may be he heading for. Great back road trips, camping, and fishing info. It is a must if you are planning to visit the state!

This title is lacking in content compared to the other Moon Handbooks and is focused on winter sports and shopping. If you are interested in other activities or seasons, you may be dissapointed.
