2.0 out of 5 stars A bit of a dissapointment, 12 July 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Color Atlas Of Foot And Ankle Anatomy (Hardcover)
Alot of people advised me to buy this book, so i did and WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!!I hardley ever used it as i didnt find it very informative. There are lots of different photos, which are useful but not alot of text to go with it. Making it quite difficult to work through. I found clinical anatomy by moore and dalley useful, although it does cost slightly more

4.0 out of 5 stars An Intriguing read!, 28 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Color Atlas Of Foot And Ankle Anatomy (Hardcover)
McMinn's colour atlas of foot and ankle anatomy is, although similar to the other colour atlas's he has written, still a very interesting and insightful textbook.

This is a must for anyone wishing to study the detailed anatomy of the human foot. The photographs are, as always, very clear and precise. It shows the structure of the tarsal bones of the foot in detail, with clear labelling of the surrounding tendons and muscular tissue. However, although the photography is brilliant, the text is slightly lacking in some places. There were occasions, upon reading, that I found more descriptions in writing were needed alongside the different views of the material, in order to fully understand and appreciate the pictures.

This is what I found to be the only flaw of this otherwise outstanding textbook for intrigued anatomists. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to study the ankle and foot in detail.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok for the basics, 9 Nov 2010
This review is from: Color Atlas Of Foot And Ankle Anatomy (Hardcover)
I think that this book is ok for reviewing the basics or for surgeons/medical professionals that already have knowledge of anatomy. Other anatomy books are better because they contain more simplistic images and have more writing to accompany the images.
