I delved into the book and it was not as scary as I imagine, in fact, I found a lot of what I had already done at Level 2 for Key Skills has given me some basic ground to work on for a GCSE in Maths. The book is laid out really well with topics that are easy to follow. It is a workbook with practice exam papers.
Now I have until 11th June 2011 until the first exam paper I sit, so plenty of months ahead for practice and revision and I feel this book was a good purchase as a study aid!
may be I needed a text book rather than a revision book, but I did expect to see good working examples of how to complete each revision question,after all a student studies for several years prior to the exam,and if it's been a while since you studied a topic am sure most people would need a refresher. So anyway, the book is well laid out, listing all topics, and there are lots of questions and example test papers you can practice with,
