A very useful guide book full of valuable information. Be careful when considering pubs to go to for evening meals etc as we have found some to be shut. "A sign of the times" Better to ring ahead and book just to be sure. Otherwise a good investment.

This guide provided information on the route but I think the information on the pubs was a bit disappointing. Given that the majority of the pubs alongside the canal didn't serve evening meals it would have been helpful to have been provided with alternative options.

After borrowing the guide from the library and using it as a guide to walking the Leeds Liverpool Canal I decided to buy a copy for myself.The close attention to detail and the inclusion of pubs and restaurants made it an ideal choice for planning day trips out.
The scale is perfect for walkers as it allows you to link bus stops or railway stations to the walk and then also have a meal at a recommended pub.
I would recommend this guide to anyone who likes to organise their day out along the many miles of canals around our countryside.
