An excellent book for the wild flower lover's pocket. In fact, the one one I would choose for a day's walking over the several similar books that I own. Photographs and text are clear and well ordered and the simple expedient of arranging the flowers by colour speeds up the process of identification. My only quibble: I wish more species were included.

I'm in France but this book covers most of the flowers we've encountered. The descriptions are short, photos great and identification easy. It's also child friendly, with my 9-year-old son being able to work it out too. Not overly technical but really good for amateurs and beginners!

If you want to learn about plants and identification then this is perfect, I use this book with students from 10 up to 18 years old. The layout of the book is fantastic and easy to use.
