I bought this book when i was really into ghosts and wanted to try ghosthunting (which i did once successfully). The book is really well made and designed and is a good read. The only problem is that because they have tried to fit in so many ghosts around the country, there are only a few lines of info for most of the entries. What is there is good, admittedly, but it would have been nice to know a little more. If you are just interested in seeing what ghosts are around, then i would still recommend this book, but if you are looking for depth then try elsewhere...

All you ghost hunters in britain you need to buy this, its absoulutely fantastic, since buying it I havent been able to put it down, giving you details on how to be a ghost hunter with organised ghost walks and haunted hotels with telephone numbers, allso a huge map throughout the book on how to get to the haunted places in great detail, it covers nearly every haunted place in britain that is viewed to the public, this book has given me plenty of pleasure and given me plenty of places to go to on my next dozen holidays.

Although the book boasts just under 500 sites around the UK, many of them are simply one or two liners. Vastly over produced book with maps that do not really add anything, child-like 'complete the page with your haunting' nonsense. Essentially nothing here that has not been done a dozen times up to twenty years ago. Design-wise attractive in places, but text is poor and lacks any real depth...
