it is amazing how can a small thing contains alot of information like this book. it covers the british monarchs begining with romans down to Elizabeth II. with a protrait of each of them and very short, brief, concise biography, covering only imporatant events in thier reign (actually it is one of the drawbacks of the book that it makes what else happened). other two major drawbacks are 1) very small print and 2)as foriegner, I found it difficult to locate the towns, cities and places with out and map (I used the Encarta World Atlas which turned out to be of a great help). this I liked the most, for each monarch, there is small box summerizing the birth, death, ascending the thron dates and parents, important wives and sons the places on birth, coronation and burial.

I really enjoyed the reading and it is so small it can fit into your pocket. definitely worth the money. I suggest an expanded-normal size version with illustrations and maps.
