Product Description

Product Description

Formula One is the world’s most spectacular sport – fast-moving, cosmopolitan, dangerous and competitive. This Gem provides the inside story, full of information, anecdote, statistics and history – ideal for any Formula One enthusiast.

The book is divided into seven main sections; all have a clear theme and help guide you through the development of Formula One. The first section covers the history of the sport from the first Formula One race in 1950 and to the first races at the turn of the century upto the 1999 season. Each subsequent chapter analyses the rise and fall of drivers, teams and circuits in this ever-changing sport, also highlighting the constant technical innovation and change as well as taking a look at how the sport is run, from who organizes Formula One to how a pit stop works and to what the flags marshals wave at drivers actually mean.

Illustrated throughout with colour photographs, results tables and diagrams, this Gem provides an ideal introduction.

This book is an excellent read for formula 1 fans or people newly interested in the sport. It gives a good insight into what goes on behind the scenes, in the pit lane. Also you learn a lot about the sport, including the drivers and the way a race is run.
