The dictionary is a very comprehensive volume and great value for money. Essential for anyone into crosswords or any type of word quiz. Because of the number of words and items it contains, the book is quite heavy to lug about - but it has got to be worth the effort!

This is an excellent thesaurus with product lists throughout the book listed in alphabetical order e.g. for a list of countries just look up countries and the list is there. With some thesaurus these lists are separate either in the centre or at the end of the book and are not so easy and convenient to find. The thesaurus was delivered very promptly and in excellent condition.

I like this dictionary because it has information as well as just being a dictionary but it is a bit on the big side for handling. Very heavy.

A Beast
Buy this dictionary. I got mine second hand (near as damn it new) for about £8. It's worth it at £35 but at £8 that's giving it away. Read more

Every home should have one
I needed a thesaurus because I write a lot of business letters and sometimes need another definition for a word to avoid repeating myself. Great book, every home should have one!

Not for the weak wristed
Wonderful dictionary but should be in 2 volumes. It is very large and very heavy. As a pensioner it is too unwieldly to be useful.
