4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Street Map 27 Feb 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Excellent --- comprehensive and clear. Would have rated it at 5 star if it had been a little more compact to slip into jacket pocket. Room in market for a smaller version which will do just that.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent 29 Nov 2013

This is a very good comprehensive map. Not a tourist map. I was doing family research in Dublin so needed something more than a tourist map. This includes ALL the streets in Dublin and was very useful and clear.

good size map, clear to see the street names, well worth the money, may be a bit bulky on a wet day but is easily folded

4.0 out of 5 stars It's more of a pre-trip item... 30 Aug 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
...because when you open the map up, it's pretty big. I mean PRETTY big. You wouldn't want to be traipsing around the Dublin streets with this in tow. However, for getting a good idea of the city layout and obtaining a mental picture of what's where in relation to what it's ideal. My recommendation would be to take this with you to your digs, plan where you need to be to do what you need to do, and then take a pocket map to keep you on the straight and narrow when your actually out. You can get a small map from pretty much any 'touristy' type shop for a couple of Euros.
You probably wouldn't want to take this map back to any kind of digs if you already live in Dublin, obviously. And thinking about it, you wouldn't want a pocket map either, as you'll already know your way around, what being resident and all. If you do live in Dublin, you could probably keep this on a bookshelf somewhere in that spare room you always said was going to be an office, but actually resembles an indoor garage, what with last year's unused barbecue still in its wrappings, and that acoustic guitar you never learned to play because the top 'E' string broke and you don't know where the music shop is. You could look at the map, of course, but by now you've spotted that Soda stream in the corner you forgot you had and now have a hankering for fizzy ice cream soda.
Anyway, if you're not from Dublin, you get the idea: Plan with the big map, walk with a smaller one. Now go and check out your 'office', because trust me, those flares WILL come back one day. Dig it ma man.
