I bought this book on the basis of a five star rating given to it some time ago.
I have since been disappointed not to find, inter alia, definitions of "Bare Trusts" or "Prescriptive Rights".
Perhaps, they are buried somewhere in the book under the Scots Law equivalent terms.
It's a good book for non-English Law definitions, but not so good if you are an English or Welsh man buying the book as a reference point for English Law terms.

This book is really a great benefit to anyone wanting to know more about certain law terms, whether they be working, studying in a law environment or simply interested in law. The terms are explained clearly and instructive. I would thoroughly recommend this book for anyone interested in the law that may need clarification on words and terms.

Dictionary for usual suspects 30 May 2004
By "ivarthelaw" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Well, I got this book as a present. It was my first law dictionary. Definately not a dissapointment but also not a satisfaction. I gained knowlidge though...but buy this only if you don't need detailed definitions and so called hard words, because as the preface says, it is intelligible for ordinary reader and after all simplicity is what we aim for. So it's not only for lawyers and corner-advocates.
Other qualities that I like in this book is paper and the size of the font, it's friendly for a reader.
