Collins has provided us with a most helpful resource pack. I have used it now over three years - literary daily, often 50 times a day - while I was writing my thesis. Its dictionary, and thesaurus that is 'one click away', were invaluable when I searched for the right word to express what I wanted to say.
I can't say how great it is that the dictionary pronounces every word. And this is the point where I think the resource pack should be improved. On my decently quick computer (P4 1.6) it takes 7-8 seconds for the computer to pronounce the first word when the dictionary is opened. That's just unacceptable. It should be instant! Next, I recently bought on the Amazon a new cd (version 3.0) for my second computer. This claims to integrate with Microsoft Word. But when I installed it (I use Word 2003)this hasn't integrated. I hope that the publishers will soon address these weaknesses, and once they do I thoroughly recommend it!
P.S. I haven't talked about other parts of the pack as I really haven't used them much.
