More About the Author

Matt Buckingham makes books for children among other things. After completing his degree at Loughborough and his MA in Illustration at Falmouth, Matt moved to London and establish himself as a sucessful children's book author and illustrator. He now lives in the Cheshire countryside with his wife, two children and two naughty dogs.
Matt works with a wide variety of media including inks and watercolour as well as creating combined traditional and digital artwork. He has created some charming characters in pre-school novelty books such as Peek-a-Boo Penguins to the best selling picture book character series Bright Stanley (where the first book was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Award in 2007). She is a consultant for the Basic Skills Agency and most recently a freelance Literacy consultant and author of many books and articles.
