Review

“It will meet a great need and give clear insight into the Bible’s teaching.” – Rev. Billy Graham.

“This well-produced, easy-to-read Bible compendium is a basic book for all would-be disciples of Jesus Christ.” – J. I. Packer.

“I commend this book with enthusiasm. Great trouble has been taken over its production. It contains accurate information, which is presented in a balanced and readable form.” – John R. W. Stott.

“A fresh, clear, stimulating book.” – Rev. Michael Green.

“The Collins Bible Companion is a book with extraordinary strengths, designed to meet the needs of today… I commend it to the whole spectrum of readers and specifically to students and young people around the world.” – Dr Daniel Bourdanne, International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES).

“This handbook is a first-class resource for anyone who is keen to get to grips with the Bible. It has been produced attractively and clearly and I have no doubt that it will be widely read and hugely appreciated.” – Rev. Jonathan Edwards, General Secretary, Baptist Union of Great Britain.

“An invaluable handbook for those who want to have both an integrated overview of the message and grand themes of the whole Bible and a better understanding of each book of the Bible.” – Lindsay Brown, International Director, Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization.

“If the enthusiasm of our theological students is anything to go by, you too will soon be sharing their excitement for this handbook.” – Dr. Steve Brady, Principal, Moorlands College.

• The Bible book by book – an overview of each book of the Bible, summarising key themes, teaching and background.
• Bible teaching – the essential Biblical teaching on ten key doctrines including God, Scripture and the Church.
• Living the Christian life – Practical advice and Bible studies for people who wish to follow the teachings of the Bible.
• Bible reference resource – including dictionary of key people and places, guides to passages which will be useful in times of need, and a daily Bible reading plan.

Excellent 24 Mar 2010
I run a group for young Christians and I have found this book invaluable as a tool to use as both a reference book and to use the set Bible studies it includes. It has also been useful for my own personal study - 5*!

By ACR
I am a first year student at Moorlands College on a three year, full time BA (Hons) Applied Theology course. During the past months I have purchased a number of books to support me in my studies and many of them have been very good. However, the Collins Bible Companion I have recently purchased, is one of the best reference I have come across. The layout is first class and not only does it contain valuable material on all the books of the Bible, it also includes vast amounts of guidance on living a Christ Centred Life. With my limited experience and knowledge, I clearly see this publication being a valuable asset for a student, pastor or house group leader.

Collins Bible Study 18 Nov 2011
I have found that the book is laid out well and maps are clear to understand. I have found in particular the Book by Book sections and Bible Teaching sections very useful for private study. I would definitely recommend it.
