5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic textbook!! 15 Mar 2012
By A. Nim
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I bought this textbook for my A level physics study.
I am currently an aspiring physicist planning to study Physics further at university.

Not only has this textbook been helpful in my A level studies but also to further deepen my knowledge of the topics gone over in class.
The textbook gives a lot of detail and extremely clear explanations.
All sorts of topics of physics are managed here and many aren't even taught in my A level syllabus.

I have learnt a lot of concepts and different methods used in different areas of physics.
The book has certainly enhanced my knowledge of the world and the way physics is necessary for it.

Highly recommended to anyone planning to study physics at college, or even just for fun!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Big book of physics 29 Jan 2013
Brilliant for A-Level physics, and just a great all-round reference book. Perfect for those wishing to relearn physics properly after progressing to A-Levels from GCSEs or anyone inspired to discover matter, energy and the universe.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best A Level physics book I've read 15 Nov 1998
By A Customer
This is a superb A Level physics book. It covers the subject at the right depth and is very interesting to read. The layout, colour and graphics are excellent. The questions are superb; these are the type of questions that show the breadth and importance of physics - and that physics is fun and "gee whiz". The treatments of each topic are right up-to-date, and there is an impressive coverage of today's front-line physics research.
