I am amazed at how long this wax stays on the paint. I bought an Audi A6 Avant 2.5tdi back in Jan as my weekend carrier of climbing equipment. The first thing that I did was thoroughly clean the paint, then I used a medium clay bar to remove any contaminants. I followed this with super resin polish, and two coats of this 476. I found it so easy to apply, and buff off. The results left the paint with a deep wet looking gloss, that beads water like crazy, even seven months on. I have to say that I have not found another wax that is so durable.

Ive used the rest and this is the best, harder to put on than to take off, incredible shine on my old tired paintwork, leaves glass shining too. highly recommended for metalic paints.

Applied to a Ford Focus in October 2011: it took just under three hours to carefully apply a coat to the whole car. Wax gave a smooth feel to the bodywork, good beading of water and a good (though not wet look) shine. Also the wax seemed to help keep the car cleaner (dirt not sticking to waxed surface so easily) and certainly made cleaning the car easy: dirt came off readily and did not require repeated scrubbing. Checked car in March 2012 some 5 months after first application: roof was mostly still covered with wax but some areas no longer covered, other areas of bodywork still had good (but lesser) covering of wax, no obvious areas without any wax. So I found the wax coating to be durable through an entire winter.

Application of the wax: I washed and dried the car as normal, then used a circular sponge to apply the wax to a section of the bodywork, then waited about 20 minutes before buffing with a microfibre cloth. My main tip to others would be to be careful to only apply a thin covering of wax, the main job in applying it is to ensure it is spread out thinly and evenly (not dissimilar to gloss painting a window frame). If the wax layer is too thick it's very hard work to buff out. If applied correctly buffing it out only requires gentle pressure. First application took just under three hours.

After two applications to a Ford Focus I've used no more than 10% of the wax in the tin, so the tin should give at least 20 applications to a standard car.

I'm over 60 and in all those years I've used all sorts to polish and protect my cars - Turtle Wax (from a tin), Liquid Diamond, Simoniz etc, etc. I have never, ever, ever used anything as good as this. A few tips. a) RTI carefully b) Buy a couple of cheap microfibre cloths - one for wax on, one for wax off. c) When the instructions say apply with a "damp" cloth it's easier and more effective to use a quite wet one ... quickly dip your "wax on" microfibre cloth into a bucket of water and then push it over the wax in the tin. You'll find it comes out of the tin more easily. However, there is a health warning - when you've done the shine on your car might dazzle other drivers. This stuff is worth every penny and one application will result in pretty water droplets all over your car your car for a year or more. One tin will last you for several years, It's brilliant.

Collinite 476s is one of the best waxes on the market. Easy on and easy off leaving a superb shine and protection to your paintwork.

A couple of tips that some may find useful...Make sure that you apply this product very thinly. It's better to apply two thin coats than one thick one. Applications applied too thickly are difficult to remove. When applied in a thin layer give the product time to haze properly. You get a better shine if you do so.

Expensive..yes. But you get what you pay for. A little goes a long way. Would recommend Collinite 476s to all.

Easy to apply, good shine and you only need a tiny amount so this wax is great value too. I have a large car (Jaguar XF) and I barely used any, so I reckon the tin will last for years ! I followed the instructions and it went on well using a slightly damp microfibre cloth. You do have to work a little to buff it out completely, but the end result is great and it only took a couple of hours to do the whole car. Water beading is excellent and I got a very good depth of gloss, which really shows up the metalflakes in the pearlescent paint on my car. Recommended.

Very happy to recommend this as an excellent product. I have used for four years now on two different new cars and in my opinion it provides first class protection.Information suggests that it should give protection for 12 months though in reality I do at least twice a year as sometimes I use TFR through a hot pressure washer which I believe can be quite hard on it. Remember this is a wax and not a polish so it has no abrasive powers to remove scratches etc merely provides protection.Easy to apply and remove also though use purpose polishing cloths as they make task much easier.

This really is an excellent polish the best I have used. I have applied it to my cars several times and hardly used any at this rate it should last for a long time and is therefore very good value. The shine it produces is like glass with very little effort and water beads instantly. This product is highly recommended.
