5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun! 4 May 2011
If you enjoy light-hearted crime and humour, you'll love these books by M.C. Beaton.

How the hapless Agatha Raisin gets herself into the situations she does, is very funny, but you also kind of feel sorry for her at times as well.

These stories are a bit old fashioned, but I rather like that - it makes a change from the graphic details we get today where nothing seems to be sacred anymore.

So, if you're after a pleasant read about bizarre crimes that take place in a genteel village, buy these. It'll have you chuckling away, and when you finish one, you'll want to read another.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gentle, entertaining whodunnits 7 May 2011
I bought this set of 10 books and enjoyed them so much that I am now reading the following 11 titles. Agatha Raisin is no Miss Marple but she always uncovers the murderer in the end, usually by blundering into a dangerous situation and working it out with minutes to spare. Her love affairs are great - the love triangle between her, Sir Charles and James runs on and on. Excellent!
