Having , in the past , read many of Ivor Matanle's articles on classic cameras in the pages of Amateur Photographer I was delighted with this book . It discusses and describes cameras produced up to around 1970 and is an interesting guide to the types of old camera I am increasingly , against the grain of digital , being attracted to . Ivor describes 'proper 'engineering , I admire his book .
Realy, just like the old wine, author explain us the world of old cameras with definition of word "classic". We can discover the most important types of german, japan, american and british cameras. The book is rich ilustrated with cameras and sample photos. In my opinion it is very important position for all who will more knowlege about true cameras from the pre-computer time.
