KM draws wonderfully detailed images of the ordinary lives of her characters. These lives are full of hidden meanings, lonliness and joy - expressed by KM through the use of vibrant imagery. Knowing the complex and tragic life of the author, one cannot help but draw parallels and surmise that a great deal of KM is revealed in these excellent stories.
This is a book that you will reread many times as each story offers yet another layer of understanding on each successive read. KM is dazzling.
