The first thing I noticed about this toothbrush was its weight - it's surprisingly light. I previously owned a Braun Oral B toothbrush which was far heavier. It has a slim design and is comfortable to hold. It comes with a charger with the usual 2 prong shaver style plug which is quite irritating, a normal 3 pin UK plug would be more practical. The box also comes with 2 different cleaning heads (regular and sensitive).

Although the manual states that the toothbrush should be recharged every 16 hours, I've found that the charge lasts longer than this which is good. The toothbrush is also quiet when in use.

The toothbrush itself has 3 settings which adjusts the brush head speed. I found that the top setting was too powerful, with the sensitive setting being more comfortable. Although the sensitive setting is a lower speed, I still felt like my teeth were really clean after a couple of minutes use. The 'sonic' feeling does take some getting used to however after a couple of goes it does feel more normal. The 'clean' feeling lasts a long time which I found impressive.

The toothbrush has a 30 second timer, to indicate when to move to the next section of your mouth (it omits a small pulse so it's easy to tell when your 30 seconds are up) and sends out a longer pulse after a 2 minute interval.

Similar to other reviewers I found that the on/off switch was a little too sensitive and possibly in the wrong place. It was easy to accidently switch off the toothbrush mid-clean.

Overall I thought this was a great toothbrush. It has a different feeling to the Oral-B toothbrushes (which have a rotating head) but does give a cleaner feeling at the end of the day.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This is one toothbrush that I love!

The reasons for this statement is that I suffer from OA and am having pain in my right hand, and being right handed presents a problem especially so when teeth brushing. Also a sufferer of wry neck, so at times when opening my mouth really wide it can cause pain when teeth brushing. So really my review is taking into account my conditions and just how helpful it has been for me. I have previously used Philips brushes and also a Omron one and can say that this one is just everything in a toothbrush I could ask for. The brush is marketed as Colgate (does have the Omron name on it) but on the web not a big marketing thing just Colgate C600. In fact made by Omron which products I have used before and been more than happy with, a rival for Philips in the brand makes and one that people tend to choose is the more well known make.........This time for me though, the not so well known Omron wins hands down., maybe if it had not paired up with Colgate it might not be seen to be one of the toothbrushes to look at. The combination though of a great electrical item and great toothpaste make it a perfect combination for my mouth.

Now this toothbrush does help and has saved my sanity. It is so sleek and not heavy in fact it felt so light that I did wonder if it had the beef in it to do the job. I used to equate heavy brush to better cleaning, that along with big brush head easier cleaning, now though with OA it had made me think again and finding the right toothbrush has been a struggle until this brush came my way.

My teeth are quite close at the back and having a smallish mouth (thankfully no comments from other half on that one). I sometimes find that some tooth brushes are a bit wide for reaching the back teeth.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Before this toothbrush I had an equally expensive and, according to the manufacturers promise, 'cutting edge technoglogy' electric toothbrush.

When it broke(after barely a year I might add), I just expected more of the same from this one but have to say I was wrong and this one really is streets ahead of it's predecessor in every way.

During a very lengthy 16 hours initial charge, Not sure if it's needed or excessive but that's what the manual says so better safe than sorry, I spent a bit of time looking at what I had and the whole thing seems very well made and high spec from the rather nice case to the various LED's which show if it's charging or what power setting it's on.

Using the brush is very simple as it stops after two minutes so you know exactly how long to brush for and it also pauses 3 times during that two minute window so you know when to move from one part of your mouth to the other.

It also comes with three different power settings and there is a coloured light for each one so if you do have a sensitive area for whatever reason you can select a gentler cleaning motion.

Charging is nice and simple and after a quick test you can easily get 14 full 2 minutes brushes between charges so will only need to do that once a week(not sure if it will stretch to two weeks as I didn't have time to test another 14 before the review)

Overall, it's a great toothbrush and certainly a lot more powerful than my previous Phillips one and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I think that an electric toothbrush is actually a necessity...That may sound weird but now that I have owned one for a while I believe that to be true....The Colgate is a new type for me but I like it as much as my other sonic toothbrushes....It is easy to use and its head really gets between the teeth....which I like as I hate flossing!!
It is easy to set up and use and is good to hold.....
I think that it is a good alternative to more expensive brushes and if you are not sure about getting one would be a good place to start....Works well and made my teeth feel really good and clean......
