This is a great bed, just remember on your first inflation of this bed when using an electric pump the air that comes out of the pump is warm air due to being compressed so don't fully inflate the bed, leave the bed squidgy to touch until the air inside the bed cools. Then top up as needed. The warm air will stretch the PVC if blasted in until the bed is really firm. During the day ( especially if hot weather) let the bed rest at squidgy stage then top up in the evening again don't top up until firm until your ready to get into bed. Airbeds all lose air due to temperature changes , you will notice that people who have used these beds for home use have very little air loss due to stable tempratures in homes but campers seem to need to top up the beds more regularly. Another tip is to buy a thin memory foam topper for this bed it will feel like a real bed and keep out the cold air feeling next to your skin.use a flat sheet which will hang down the sides of the bed and deter accidental snags to the PVC. Try not to use sleeping bags use a summer quilt, less chance of zips digging into PVC during the night . I've had my Coleman bed for three years and each camping trip we have stayed a fortnight sometimes 4 nights or weekends so it's done a really good job as it took two tall adults and a dog ! I don't bother trying to get the air bed back in its bag I use an old duvet cover and place it inside of that and it just lies on the top of all the camping gear in the car . Once home I store it flat on the spare bed. I hope this is some help to those of you buying an air bed ,just follow these few simple rules and you won't be disappointed, what you will get is a brilliant nights sleep.

This bed was fabulous :o) After years of struggling on a normal, low airbed, this was a god send. Plenty of room for 2, plus a little one until he got used to his own airbed. Easy to stand up from sitting on the bed, especially with back problems. Very comfortable, highly recommended.

We bought this bed as a temporary solution when moving into a new home, before paying out for a more expensive bed when we know the style that will suit the house. My partner is 6ft 8 inches tall and even he gets a comfortable night`s sleep on this bed. Hardly needs blowing up again, just once in two weeks so far. Comfortable enough for the two of us. Only downside is it does feel cold to lie on but this is easily resolved with a blanket on the bottom. A sheet will not do as it is the cold air below that makes the bed feel cold. We have the double and fitted it with proper bedding rather than sleeping bags to make it look like a real bed. Buy it. Superb value for money.

So popular was this product that all the family wanted to sleep in my tent, it is big and hight which i wanted but probably not ideal as it took up the whole of the bedroom area of my tent, I just had to keep topping it up slightly everyday but I am a big lady ! Made my camping holiday complete

I bought this as I was having family over to stay at Christmas and needed an easy to store spare bed. This bed was very comfortable and didn't lose air over the two nights it was used. The fact that it was raised meant it felt like sleeping on a regular bed. The bed is huge and it did take 50 minutes to inflate with a foot pump, so I would recommend that an electric/battery pump is used. It was quick and easy to deflate and it rolled up into its own 'carry bag' which made it a dream to store. I would recommend this air bed. Great value, comfy bed!

Hello potential buyer!

For a person like myself who knows nothing about camping or beds etc, I had to ask my mum's advice on what was best. 'Coleman' she said. I've had their products for years and it's never failed me. The only thing I didn't notice was that it didn't have an internal pump so make sure you buy a pump along with this one! I got this mini battery powered coleman pump. I would mainly be using this mattress for guests coming over. I can't afford a bed and this thing is massive! Very spacious, very firm. I've only used it once so far but I hope my faith in the brand means it will last me a long time. I plan on saving money by renting or purchasing my next flat as a one bedroom and converting the living room or the like into a second bedroom using this ala Japanese style. Very high and a suitable alternative to an actual bed. If you're going for a camping bed, this will probably fit two adults and a kid or two as well. Something I found difficulty with was finding a fitted sheet that was large enough. queen in coleman speak, seems to mean super king size in uk debenhams store size. I was advised that this was an american queen size. I know I talk a lot. If it lasts me, I would definitely buy it again - but with a pump!

This was much easier to get on and off than a normal airbed and so much better for older/arthritky bones! It certainly is plenty big enough but we did roll into the middle more than we had hoped but found a pretty hard inflation was best. I would agree with others that it does get cold so you do need a blanket or something beneath you, in a normal English summer. We just used our normal hand pump and it worked fine, it took about 15 mins to inflate and 5 mins to deflate.
