Having just returned from a second tour carrying this tent on the back of a bike I had to write a review to say what a great little tent this is. Positives are as follows:
- Very good quality: lightweight metal poles that feel as though they'd last forever; top notch tent pegs that will take much more abuse than any other pegs I've used before; lots of lovely little features like variable air vents, a hanging hook for a lantern and retro-reflective guy ropes to stop people tripping over them.
- Very easy to put up: colour coded poles, and an inner tent that remains suspended inside the fly sheet means this can be easily put up in less than ten minutes.
- Rock-solid when erected: well positioned ropes and a sleek design make me think that this tent could withstand serious gales without any problem at all.
- A porch that makes it feel much bigger than it is: the porch happily swallowed 6 big cycle pannier bags whilst leaving plent of space to move in and out - this means that even when you are rained in the tent doesn't feel too small or claustophobic.
Wanting to be objective, I'd like to be able to give some negative points to balace the review, but there is nothing I can really think of.
In short, would highly recommend for anyone wanting to hike or cycle and carry their own kit with them

Just put up the new coleman Pictor x2 and found it easy as wink,I am very impressed and pleased, this tent has had a lot of thought put into it, from colour coded poles that locate in their respective colur coded sleeves to the reflective edging on the outside, it even has fabric repair patches to cover any rips.
Overall this is a very good tent and I would reccomend it to anyone.

I had NEVER erected a tent before and had no idea what to expect. This was recommended to me by a friend as I wanted something that could be used in festivals and full on camping trips regardless of the conditions. It weighs in at just under 4kgs, colour coded poles and a great bag with compression straps, a mini repair kit, full set of instructions, a nice porch to cook in if the weather isnt on your side.
I had set it up in just under 10 mins and was pretty proud of myself
Note that it doesnt come with a hammer to stick the pegs in or peg extractor but these are so cheap to get separately that it doesnt matter.
Also my peg extractor and mallet fit into the bag with the tent :-) Happy days

Tent for a short pleasure

Great value
Excellent value lightweight tent, bought for touring France with motorbike. Colour coded, aluminium poles make it easy to put up. Small pack size fits into a motorcycle topbox. Read more
