Joe Cole, a talented product of the famous West Ham youth system, was hailed as a child prodigy by no less than Harry Redknapp. He made his first-team debut for the club at the age of 17 - and his dedication to the Hammers saw him receive the captain's armband in his early 20s. Ian Macleay has been a Chelsea fan since the days of Jimmy Greaves in the late 1950s. He has co-authored two acclaimed books including Chelsea: A 100-Year History, with former Chelsea chairman Brian Mears, and The Working Man's Ballet with Alan Hudson. He is currently writing a novel. The author lives in Surrey.

I;m scory but "Martin Chandlers " review is utter S!?t. Cole Play: The Biography of Joe Cole is written to perfection, i wish every football Biography was like this. So what is a little repative. Joe must be vary proud of this. He dosent boast so you dont have to be a chelsea fan to read it. I would recomend this to eneyone into football.

Written by a Chelsea fan who doesn't obviously know anything and making a few bob out of a players name.
When a book starts off with "Blowing Bubbles but not for long" when JC was at WHUFC for many years and had been at CFC for 3 seasons you know its going to be a novel.
Many mickey mouse stories including Paul Canoville getting rascist stick from opposition fans when it was sadly his own fans giving it.
Sad...very sad.
