While these salt and pepper grinders / mills are not the most elegant available, they hold about the largest volume for their size (which means you aren't constantly having to dismantle them to refill), they work well without much effort and they last a long time (this is our second set, the first having lasted around 8-9 years!).
If you want rock / sea salt and to grind your own pepper, then these are excellent value. Highly recommended.

These were bought as a replacement for another set of Cole and Mason mills that died after over 10 years of use. Surprisingly these ones seem to have thicker metal just at the point where the old ones failed. The photo is a bit deceptive about how full they are supplied, they are well under half full. They are of subtly different construction for salt and pepper so steer clear of other suppliers who sell them singly but just say "one supplied" and don't say if you are getting the salt or pepper mill.
