Best salt grinder ever,

This review is from: Cole & Mason Buzz Electronic Mill (Kitchen & Home)
Got this for Christmas two years ago and it was the most popular thing on the Christmas lunch table. Still going strong (with new batteries) and am going to buy one as a present for someone else this year who has been admiring it with relish for the past two years (and adding salt to their food effortlessly whilst doing so).
Don't normally write reviews but this is good!

Ran out of Buzz very quickly,
This review is from: Cole & Mason Buzz Electronic Mill (Kitchen & Home)
I bought two of these last Christmas and gave my old Salter Stainless Steel Electric Pepper Mill to my mum. Initially I was pleased with them, they have a powerful action and they looked much better and sleeker with their brushed metal finish that my old Salter Mill. However, 3 months later and my pepper mill has just ran out of juice. It uses 6 AAA batteries and I'm sure that my salt mill won't be far behind. My old Salter Pepper Mill may not have looked as glamorous but the 4 AA batteries kept it going for a year and a half !! (and I use a lot of pepper). I guess I will have to look to rechargeable batteries now or throw good money after bad constantly replacing them. One other thing, if you like your pepper like I do then you'll fine that despite the adjustable grinding action (which they all have), the coarsest option is still fairly fine which is annoying if you are cooking something like a steak which benefits from a coarse grind. Now I've got them I guess I'm stuck with them but I wish (despite it's looks) that I'd had stuck with the more expensive, but far better Salter Mill.

using less power to be powerfull,

Just returned from Manhattan, where I finally found the one and only stainless steel electronic mill with the promising name "Manhattan". You should take into consideration, that my left hand is handicapped, so I'm always looking for kitchenware easy to be used singlehanded. this pepper/saltmill is heaven to me with that subtil light shining on your workspace! It is a high tech design, unfortunately the brand Cole & Mason is not engraved, but put on a simple plastic foil. Overall this product is highly recommanded by me, especially for people, who love to cook, but have not much power in their hands. greetings, Ellen Hitipeuw,
