This is an excellent book of sheet music, and is something I would highly recommend. It is around grade 4 standard, perhaps even grade 5 or higher on some songs, but players of lower grades will find enjoyment in playing the melodic lines, which stay true to the original songs. Unlike many other transcriptions of popular music, the piano arrangments in the book remain as played on the album, and have not been tampered with to include the melody line or any other unncessary notes. Plus, the book is nicely presented, with a cool photo in the front.....
All in all, a great book to get!!!

All of the tracks featured on Coldplay's third album "X & Y" are included in this folio, and they have all been arranged very effectively. Many sheet music books tend to over-arrange pieces, resulting in unauthentic playing, but while playing from this book I noted to my surprise that the piano part for each song sounds as if it exactly matches what Chris Martin plays, which is a real plus. It was also while following the sheet music for each song that I realised how intricate and beautiful the piano parts are - I hadn't really noticed how essential the piano was to each track while listening to the album. Particularly well-arranged pieces in my opinion are "Talk", "The Hardest Part" and "Speed of Sound", but they all perfectly capture Coldplay's unique style. This book is a real pleasure to play from.

Very good transcript of the hugely successful 2005 album X & Y.

The piano & guitar are done very well in this book as is the attention paid to the alternate tunings that Coldplay have employed over the years.

Clear concise & very neatly presented.

This was great for piano and voice which is good because that's what I play, I don't play guitar so I can't say how good the book is for that.
But the music and words were clear and easy to read and the book was just over all really good quality

A bit more for the advanced i think. I brought this as a christmas present for a massive Coldplay fan, and he was really pleased with it. From the breif look i had at it looked like it had all the songs from X&Y album in there. The only thing is you must be able to understand the use of the guiter and keyboard, cause it has all the notes in there, plus the words to the songs.
