I wanted something seriously funky. I Got it. This is one of those records that cuts straight to the chase, lays down the gauntlet, tells you it means business from the starting gun. We kick off with the funky as,"The Thing," with it's choppy riff. Then the enormous base and the cheeky trumpets come in on, "Free Your Mind," which somehow manages to flutter off into a trippy melodic groove half way through. And there are sixteen tracks on this album!
No fillers here, pretty much everything is going to cut up any self-respecting dance floor. I love the popping,"Loaded to the gills," the ultra heavy,"slipping into the darkness,"the pounding title track and the seething, swinging,"The sad chicken."(Not many albums end on such as high note.) Off the map funky
