Third in the "Cold..." serial, this book yet again had me enjoying the ingenious twist and turns of the plot. The murder of the not so likable Harry Nathan causes a trail of deaths, while ghosts from Lorraine Page's past come back to haunt her. Having just installed herself in her new office, home and life, Lorraine Page gets hired by Harry's widow Cindy to prove her innocence. Discovering more and more about the secret life of Harry, she ends up being hired by his former lawyer to look into some of the financial issues connected to the will as well. And though this will be her last case, her detective instinct is there till the bitter end and will not let her close shop until she's solved the complete puzzle.
Without reveiling the plot, I can say little more about the contents. However, I can say this: this book robbed me of a good nights sleep, I just couldn't put it down. It made me smile seeing Lorraine Page's cautious attempts at gaining the happiness she craves so much and had me crying towards the end (and I don't easily cry over books). In short: I loved it.
