There might not be much difference between this book and the previous ones: 2011 & 2010. I'll find out in a day or two when i go to the library and edit this review again.
They never bothered to change the footnote at the bottom of the gold coin pages - the bullion values of gold were still the same as last years book, which is a shame because they seem to have gotten the actual values of the coins: silver and gold to the correct value of this month (Nov., 2011). They never actually mentioned the silver value this time, but the coin values do seem current.
I got this book today and i wasn't impressed with the condition. Normally the condition of this book would not matter because it was not too bad actually; but it was for an xmas present and it may need to be sold later on. They should have wrapped them in protective plastic. Too many scratches, scuffs, and indentations otherwise. I'm picky tho. The price i paid as a pre-order was about £19 tho, so not bad and i am generally pleased with it and Amazon's quick and helpful service.

This reference book is the bible when it comes to identifying and valuing any English coin. Originally published by the long-established but now extinct numismatists Seaby Ltd, the book is now a Spink publication. It is excellent value for money and very comprehensive.
